This is such a wonderful idea. Manny, although I do not know you I have heard many good things about you from Jenn. Thank you so much for what you have done. I recently saw "Relix" magazine and I was surprised but very happy to see an ad for this. Here is a quote Jenn gave to me when she moved from Crystal Lake to Arizona. "Do not be dismayed at goodbyes. A goodbye is necessary before meeting again and meeting again after moments or lifetimes; is certain for those who are friends" -Ricahrd Bach Jenn I love you and miss you. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. You will always have a big piece of my heart. And to the Bentons; you know I'm always thinking about you.

I got to know Jennifer and Anthony in High School, they are the kind of people you will never forget. The entire Benton family was always caring, and willing to help out whenever someone needed it! I know the loss of Jennifer has taken a toll on everyone, and it is great that you have started this program in remembrance of her, and to help provide safety for many others. It is a wonderful thing you are doing, and I am sure Jennifer is smiling down upon you. I will keep you all in my prayers.

She dances among us, the winds breath pushes her around like a lost leaf fallen gracefully from a tree. Looking upon her soul filled existence, endless hearts beat to the sound of her laugh, like a drum, and she prances through the clouds. By night she skips across the sky letting her feet lightly touch one star after another, skipping happily through our dreams, like a child, innocently hopping rocks up a river's bed. We laugh, we cry, we remember. A flamboyant,joy-filled life that touched our hearts so gently and sincere. We dance together through life and know that she dances, still, among us.

WOW. That's all that I can say for what the effort to remember a friend has turned into. This is a wonderful website and organization. Thank you so much Manny and thank you so much Jen. She touched everyone that she met and brought light in the darkness. I can't look at the pictures without smiling, and I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world for having known her, and many of you. Chrys

When I heard about Jennifer's death a year ago I did not believe it. I really thought it was a rumor from back up north in Crystal Lake, IL. I went to work the next day and did an internet search and found her obitutary. Needless to say I did not finish out my day at work. Her brother Anthony and I have been best friends since freshman year in high school. Jennifer was a sister to me in every way, we talked, hung out, and also faught like sisters, she even pierced one of my ears! She was just a 16 year old kid last time I saw her. I did not know get to know the wonderful young woman she had become, but the way everyone describes her it brings a tear to my eye. It is truely a shame that I did not get to know the true Jennifer Benton. My prayers are with the Benton family everyday. I love you all. ~~ Jenni

I, too, lost my best friend to falling asleep at the wheel. Driving home from his girlfriends house at 2:00AM - he crossed the center line and we lost him forever. What a wonderful way to remember your friend, and to educate others of this danger. God Bless you all, and much love, and strength to the entire family on the loss of Jennifer - such a beautiful girl. Sophie

I read the story on the web site and was touched, life is so fragile and can be taken from us at any moment, and it always happens when we expect it the least. I too share the pain of loosing those who are close to me after being leaving the dead tour in 95'

I grew up in Crystal Lake and never had the privilege of knowing Jennifer personally, but I do remember her face, and know many whose lives were touched by her. Thank you for the reminder that life is short and to be safe in our travels and to take care of one another. Thank you Karima for passing on this wonderful website and idea.

I'm on the island of Keffalonia in the Ionian Greek Isles. Unfortunately won't be able to attend High Sierra but thoughts will be with Jen and her family on that fateful day. Manny-you rock (and/or roll). I hope you get all the assistance you need to make this work out bigtime (which it already has).
