This is such a wonderful idea. Manny, although I do not know you I have heard many good things about you from Jenn. Thank you so much for what you have done. I recently saw "Relix" magazine and I was surprised but very happy to see an ad for this. Here is a quote Jenn gave to me when she moved from Crystal Lake to Arizona. "Do not be dismayed at goodbyes. A goodbye is necessary before meeting again and meeting again after moments or lifetimes; is certain for those who are friends" -Ricahrd Bach Jenn I love you and miss you. I got to know Jennifer and Anthony in High School, they are the kind of people you will never forget. The entire Benton family was always caring, and willing to help out whenever someone needed it! I know the loss of Jennifer has taken a toll on everyone, and it is great that you have started this program in remembrance of her, and to help provide safety for many others. It is a wonderful thing you are doing, and I am sure Jennifer is smiling down upon you. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I just wanted to say that the Benton family all have touched my heart at one point in time.Anyone who knew them knows that they are always looking for the silver lining in the dark storm clouds.The accident is that storm cloud but this program will help save many other lives and can be that silver lining for us all.I love you and miss you all.My prayers are with you always.

well.. This has been a hard year, but wonderful things like the driving for Jenn program help to make the healing process a bit better. I miss Jenn terribly and i know i am not alone. Jenn touched alot of people and now she touches even more. This is a wonderful way to celebrate her beautiful spirit. When I heard about Jennifer's death a year ago I did not believe it. I really thought it was a rumor from back up north in Crystal Lake, IL. I went to work the next day and did an internet search and found her obitutary. Needless to say I did not finish out my day at work. Her brother Anthony and I have been best friends since freshman year in high school. Jennifer was a sister to me in every way, we talked, hung out, and also faught like sisters, she even pierced one of my ears! She was just a 16 year old kid last time I saw her. I did not know get to know the wonderful young woman she had become, but the way everyone describes her it brings a tear to my eye. It is truely a shame that I did not get to know the true Jennifer Benton. My prayers are with the Benton family everyday. I love you all. ~~ Jenni

I, too, lost my best friend to falling asleep at the wheel. Driving home from his girlfriends house at 2:00AM - he crossed the center line and we lost him forever. What a wonderful way to remember your friend, and to educate others of this danger. I read the story on the web site and was touched, life is so fragile and can be taken from us at any moment, and it always happens when we expect it the least. I too share the pain of loosing those who are close to me after being leaving the dead tour in 95'

I grew up in Crystal Lake and never had the privilege of knowing Jennifer personally, but I do remember her face, and know many whose lives were touched by her. I was checking my email the last day i had with the washington wizards and i noticed thsi email from this link. it reminded me of a time when i was 17. my friend fell asleep at the wheel and died. now i always bring a friend along when i drive. i will pray for jennifer every night.
