well.. This has been a hard year, but wonderful things like the driving for Jenn program help to make the healing process a bit better. I miss Jenn terribly and i know i am not alone. Jenn touched alot of people and now she touches even more. This is a wonderful way to celebrate her beautiful spirit. There is also a tree in Jenn's memory in Flagstaff if anyone is intrested in visiting it you can contact me by e-mail for directions.

WOW. That's all that I can say for what the effort to remember a friend has turned into. This is a wonderful website and organization. Thank you so much Manny and thank you so much Jen. She touched everyone that she met and brought light in the darkness. I can't look at the pictures without smiling, and I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world for having known her, and many of you. Chrys

When I heard about Jennifer's death a year ago I did not believe it. I really thought it was a rumor from back up north in Crystal Lake, IL. I went to work the next day and did an internet search and found her obitutary. Needless to say I did not finish out my day at work. Her brother Anthony and I have been best friends since freshman year in high school. Jennifer was a sister to me in every way, we talked, hung out, and also faught like sisters, she even pierced one of my ears! She was just a 16 year old kid last time I saw her. I did not know get to know the wonderful young woman she had become, but the way everyone describes her it brings a tear to my eye. It is truely a shame that I did not get to know the true Jennifer Benton. My prayers are with the Benton family everyday. I love you all. ~~ Jenni

I, too, lost my best friend to falling asleep at the wheel. Driving home from his girlfriends house at 2:00AM - he crossed the center line and we lost him forever. What a wonderful way to remember your friend, and to educate others of this danger. God Bless you all, and much love, and strength to the entire family on the loss of Jennifer - such a beautiful girl. Sophie

I read the story on the web site and was touched, life is so fragile and can be taken from us at any moment, and it always happens when we expect it the least. I too share the pain of loosing those who are close to me after being leaving the dead tour in 95'

I grew up in Crystal Lake and never had the privilege of knowing Jennifer personally, but I do remember her face, and know many whose lives were touched by her. Thank you for the reminder that life is short and to be safe in our travels and to take care of one another. Thank you Karima for passing on this wonderful website and idea.

I'm on the island of Keffalonia in the Ionian Greek Isles. Unfortunately won't be able to attend High Sierra but thoughts will be with Jen and her family on that fateful day. Manny-you rock (and/or roll). I hope you get all the assistance you need to make this work out bigtime (which it already has).

I did not know Jennifer but I do now know a lot of you and I feel a great deal of love that obviously started at some point and was influenced and magnified at some point by her. Manny, this tribute is more than just that, it is a lesson for the rest of us, to learn from. The outpouring of love on this website alone shows me how much life means and how much it means when it is lost. Please (also speaking to myself) THINK before you think, and then think some more, and then act. WE love you all and HURT when you are gone. "Go out on a limb, that's where the fruit is..." Much love and respect, Adam

I never knew Jenn, but I have seen the impact her life, and death has had on my family. Even though we never met, I think of her often. And, I tell her story as if I lost a best friend, so that others who did not know her, will also think of her often.I am proud of you Manny!
